Explanation This photo shows preparation of cheese at home in a cellar (zímnik [Bulg.]). The cheese is put in a strainer and the whey is collected in a copper. A cauldron for preparing curds, cheese in a baking dish, and a wooden keg (kaché [Bulg.]) for keeping cheese can be seen. This photo is a reproduction of a photo made by Krum Savov in 1930.
