Explanation Prédoy [Bulg.], a custom of measuring the milk at the beginning of the milking season. The following vessels are used in the measuring: a wooden bowl (cútel [Bulg.]); pails (vedró [Bulg.]); a small cup (cháshka [Bulg.]); copper buckets and cauldrons (hárkomi [Bulg.]); enamelled buckets, and vessels. The shepherds are dressed in topcoats (yamurlútsi [Bulg.]) and hooded cloaks (képi [Bulg.]).
