Explanation Milkers are sitting under a shelter, called sáedzhek [Bulg.], on stone "chairs" to milk the sheep. The enclosure in which the sheep are milked is called málka kótara [Bulg.]. In the foreground, an elderly woman (karachér [Bulg.], driver) is driving the sheep into the fold towards the milkers.
